I have been an educator for 30+ years working in K-12 public education in Arizona for 31 years. I have worked for Alliant for the last three years as an online adjunct faculty member and the last year as a practicum supervisor here in Arizona for Northern Arizona University. My undergraduate degree is from Northern Arizona University in Journalism/Public Relations which is a skill set I have used throughout my career in education. My Masters degree is from Grand Canyon University in elementary education and curriculum development. My doctorate is from Argosy University in educational leadership. My dissertation was a program evaluation that focused on summer intervention programs and the long term impacts on both students and teachers.

I have taught every grade level in elementary from Kindergarten to eighth graders, worked with high school students in summer intervention and enrichment programs at the community college and now taught post-secondary students for the last three years. During my years at the K-12 level I was also a Science Department anchor faculty, an curriculum specialist for Science and Language Arts, a STEM coach, a director of grants and assessments and a building principal for a middle school and for a K-8 campus.

My interest lie in authentic science education, effective intervention programs and coaching teachers to be the best they can be.
