David Glassman

David Glassman
Biography

David Glassman teaches law school courses related to the appellate process and advises moot court competition students.  He has practiced law since 1984, focusing on appeals. His practice experience includes two victories in the United States Supreme Court, over 75 briefed and argued in the United States Court of Appeals, 17 cases briefed and argued in the California Supreme court and over 350 cases handled in the California Court of Appeal. His work has resulted in more than 100 published decisions in state and federal courts.

Professor Glassman has taught appellate advocacy and related moot court classes at various institutions since 1989. His students have won statewide and national moot court competitions, including the Roger J. Traynor California Appellate Moot Court Competition and the National Criminal Procedure Moot Court Competition.

Scott Zimmer
Biography

Scott Zimmer, JD, Ed.D., holds a Master’s degree in Library Science from the University of Iowa, another Master’s degree in Computer Science from Azusa Pacific University, a JD from California Western School of Law, and a doctorate in Educational Leadership through a joint program between UC San Diego and CSU San Marcos. He passed the California Bar Exam in 2015.

Scott was born in South Dakota and grew up there, though he has traveled widely with his family, including to every state in the U.S. His first job was in Pasadena, California, and he has lived in California for most of his adult life. Once the COVID lockdown ended, he moved with his family to Escondido. 

Scott and his wife Sophia recently celebrated their 25th anniversary. They have two sons, ages 24 and 18.

Alex Landon is a J.D., University of San Diego School of Law 1971; BA, California State University Northridge, 1968. He has been admitted to the California Bar since 1972, and was a Certified Specialist, Criminal Law, California Board of Legal Specialization from 1977 to 2017. He is currently in private practice, and is an adjunct professor at the University of San Diego School of Law where he has taught 36 years and San Diego Law School, Alliant University for 7 years. He is a member and past president of the San Diego Criminal Defense Bar Association, member and former president of the San Diego Criminal Defense Lawyers Club, the past president of the San Diego PsychLaw Society, and a member of the Board of Governors and past president of California Attorneys for Criminal Justice. He is the former Executive Director of the Defenders Program of San Diego Inc., and Community Defenders, Inc. He is a frequent seminar and workshop speaker.
