Alliant International University Professor David Felsen, PhD, has been appointed by the Mayor’s office to the City of San Diego’s International Affairs Board. The nomination was approved by the City Council on November 27, 2012. Dr. Felsen will serve a two-year term.
The mission of the International Affairs Board is to foster and promote friendly relations and better understanding between peoples and communities of the United States of America and the peoples and communities of foreign nations, further economic cooperation and cultural interchange, develop, compile and exchange information and plan, develop and carry out mutual economic and cultural activities. The Board is also charged with rendering an annual report of its work to the Mayor.
“I feel privileged to have been invited to serve on the City of San Diego’s International Affairs Board. It is an important advisory body and reflects the City’s commitment to broadening its international and cross-cultural ties. As a professor of international studies at Alliant, I am excited about the possibility of contributing to this critical mission over these next two years," Dr. Felsen said.
