The Institute for Violence, Abuse, and Trauma (IVAT), under President Bob Geffner, Ph.D., received a grant in the amount of $31,550 from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation. The funding will help showcase the issue of systemic change to improve the lives of children exposed to chronic trauma, violence, and abuse during the 5th Annual Meeting of the National Partnership to End Interpersonal Violence Across the Lifespan (NPEIV) think tank.

The think tank's annual meeting will be held in conjunction with the 19th Annual International Conference and Summit on Violence, Abuse, and Trauma. The goals of the conference are to address gaps and issues facing the field of interpersonal violence prevention and to link research, advocacy, practice, and policy.

The NPEIV meeting will be held on Saturday, September 6, 2014 at the Town & Country Resort & Convention Center in San Diego. The IVAT annual conference will be held  September 7-10, 2014 also being held at the Town & Country Resort & Convention Center.
