The award was offered to select people from around the country. Dr. Mojgan Khademi, Professor at Alliant International University at the clinical psychology doctoral program was awarded the Edith Sabshin Teaching Award for 2014. She directs the Center for Applied Psychology (CAPS) at Alliant International University in San Diego.
The Edith Sabshin Teaching Award recognizes individuals who have made outstanding contributions as educators of students who are not candidates. The award is given annually to up to ten individuals (both members and non-members) who are recommended by their local societies and institutes for outstanding service in non-candidate education. Mojgan Khademi, Psy.D. specializes in treatment of any preventive research related to eating disorders. She has over 15 years of clinical experience working with young adults in university counseling centers. Her current practice is comprised of patients with anxiety and depression, as well as eating disorders.
