SAN DIEGO, Calif. – Aug 24, 2012 – Distinguished Professor Dr. Rodney Lowman had a new post-doctoral Fellowship established in his name. The psychology consulting firm Leadership Worth Following (LWF) created the fellowship to recognize Dr. Lowman's pioneering work in helping establish the modern field of consulting psychology. Specifically, LWF acknowledges his work in the areas of professional ethics in organizational consulting psychology and career and work-related assessment.
A professor in Alliant International University’s California School of Professional Psychology, Dr. Lowman is a long-time member of LWF’s Advisory Board of Directors and chair of LWF’s Science Advisory Board. A past President of the Society of Consulting Psychology, he currently serves as the editor of Consulting Psychology Journal: Practice and Research. His published work includes the books, Handbook of Organizational Consulting Psychology, The Ethical Practice of Psychology in Organizations and Internationalizing Multiculturalism: Expanding Professional Competencies in a Globalized World.
The year-long Fellowship will focus on spear-heading the development and execution of the next generation of LWF’s Science and Research Roadmap. The chosen Fellow will be deeply involved in further developing LWF’s research strategy and agenda, executing parts of that agenda and contributing to LWF’s publishing efforts. There will also be many opportunities for involvement in a variety of other LWF projects including working directly with clients.
To qualify for the position, applicants must have a PhD in I/O, Counseling, Consulting Psychology or a related field with significant evidence of relevant qualifications in research.
