Biography

Dr. Megan Hampton, LISW, LCSW, is the Program Director of the Master of Social Work program at Alliant International University. She has been a Social Work educator since 2013, with a teaching focus on core professional skills for graduate-level social work practice, group work, research, policy, and internship courses.

Dr. Hampton’s research primarily explores food insecurity among college students, retention and degree progression challenges, and program evaluations. She has also served as a research coordinator, leading multiple ongoing projects.

In addition to her academic work, Dr. Hampton has clinical experience working with individuals with maladaptive behaviors, adults, adolescents, and the aging population. Before transitioning to academia, Dr. Hampton was the Clinical Director of a large out patient mental health faculty. Additionally she has clinical experience working with individuals exhibiting maladaptive behaviors, as well as with adults, adolescents, and the elderly.
