Biography

Dr. Schneider is the Program Director of the PsyD program at Alliant International University’s Sacramento campus. With a background in clinical psychology and medical neuroscience, Dr. Schneider has developed expertise in understanding brain-behavior interactions across the lifespan, particularly within the context of neurodevelopmental and neurodegenerative disorders. Her research focuses on fragile X-associated disorders (FX-AD), with a strong emphasis on neuropsychological assessments and interdisciplinary treatment approaches. Her work combines innovative clinical interventions with advanced physiological measures, including EEG/ERP and heart rate variability, to better understand and address the cognitive and emotional challenges faced by individuals with neurodiverse conditions. 
Dr. Schneider is deeply committed to fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion in both her research and clinical practice. She actively promotes culturally responsive care, ensuring that her interventions are accessible to diverse populations. In addition to her research, Dr. Schneider is passionate about mentoring and supporting the next generation of clinicians and researchers, especially those from underrepresented backgrounds. At Alliant, she integrates her extensive experience in neuropsychological assessment and clinical care into the PsyD curriculum, while also leading initiatives focused on expanding access to mental health support for neurodiverse populations. 
In addition to her role at Alliant, Dr. Schneider holds a faculty position at UC Davis and is actively involved in national and international collaborations aimed at advancing targeted treatments for fragile X syndrome and related disorders. Her work in biomarkers and translational research is widely recognized, and she remains committed to bridging the gap between clinical practice and cutting-edge research to improve outcomes for individuals with complex neurodevelopmental profiles.
