Graham Danzer, CSPP-SF, had his first book, My Girls, published recently. Danzer also had the following three peer-reviewed articles published this year:

- "Integrating Ego Psychology and Strengths-Based Social Work" in the Journal of Theory Construction and Testing
- "From Ego Psychology to Strengths, From Victim to Survivor" in the Journal of Aggression, Maltreatment, and Trauma.
Laura Harder, CSPP-SD, was awarded a $60,000 grant to fund her dissertation. She also had two papers come out of her dissertation research that have already been accepted for publication:

Emily Kates, CSPP-SF, and Associate Professor Dr. Shannon Casey, CSPP-SF, had an article published in the journal Administration and Policy in Mental Health and Mental Health Services Research. The article reports research on the mental health needs and prior service utilization of youth in the juvenile justice system.
The Sacramento Campus I-MERIT Committee would like to congratulate and commend their 2011-2012 award recipient, Nicole Krohn of CSPP. I-MERIT will recognized Krohn during a special ceremony on September 18, 2012. They are so proud and pleased to recognize all of the great work Krohn has done on campus and in the community. They would also like to applaud the Sacramento College Campus I-MERIT Committee inaugural award winner from last year, Katherine Wilson of CSPP.
Yvette Malamud-Ozer, CSPP-SF, has a new book coming out entitled A Student Guide to Health. A special event to launch the book will be held at the San Francisco library on Friday, November 2, 2012 from 5-7 PM. Refreshments will be served.

Brenda (Rameriz) Pena, CSPP- FR, has joined the California Cancer Associates for Research and Development as their human resource manager for the Central Valley and Southern California. As a member of the management team, she is responsible for HR functions and services, recommendations and strategies to sustain and grow the company, which consists of a network of providers that focus on state-of-the art facilities, compassionate care and a commitment to implementing the most advanced cancer treatment techniques available.
Gabriella Ruiz, CSPP- FR, accepted a position as the Kern County Area Director for the Alzheimer’s Association: California Coast Chapter. She began this summer and will be responsible for the implementation, coordination and development of Alzheimer’s disease services for all of Kern County. This is a dream job for Ruiz. Several years ago, she began caring for her grandfather who suffered from Alzheimer’s disease and recently passed away. Her experience caring for him along with her earned degree, bilingual ability, skills and knowledge provided her with this opportunity. The Alzheimer’s Association is the leading voluntary health organization in Alzheimer care, support and research.
Alana Russaw, CSPP-SAC, participated in the HOPE, HIV Office for Psychology Education, training program this summer in Chicago. Using a train-the-trainer model, the HOPE Program trains and certifies volunteers to deliver interactive workshops for mental health providers. Following her training, Russaw will take part in training 60 individuals over two years.
Yukie Shiratori, CSPP-SF, and Associate Professor Kristi Samuelson, CSPP-SF, published the following paper, based on Shiratori's first project:

Additionally, Shiratori was selected by the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies as a finalist for their Student Poster Award; she will present the above research at their annual convention in November.
