Alliant is accredited by the WASC Senior College and University Commission (WSCUC) and offers programs accredited by the American Psychological Association (APA), the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC), the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP), the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP), and the Commission on Accreditation for Marriage and Family Therapy Education (COAMFTE).

The Alliant Educational Foundation (AEF) builds bridges between under-resourced communities, universities, and other organizations to create a more equitable, healthy, and just society. Students at Alliant participate in the AEF through a variety of ways such as helping the San Diego Regional Children’s Mental Health Consortium provide vital mental health services to San Diego children and families. The AEF believes we can only make meaningful change by including the voices of diverse, community-based stakeholders

Is Alliant University legitimate?

• California School of Professional Psychology (CSPP): Founded in 1969, CSPP is the first standalone graduate school of professional psychology school in the U.S. Notable faculty have included Abraham Maslow, Viktor Frankl, Carl Rogers, and many others.
  • CSPP is the second largest educator of clinical psychologists in the U.S. and its clinical psychology graduates accounted for almost one-third of graduates from APA-accredited doctoral psychology programs in California (2021-23).
  • As of 2024, CSPP has educated 23% of the newly licensed clinical psychologists in the State of California
• California School of Management & Leadership (CSML): Offers ACBSP-accredited programs that train you to have a competitive edge in the tech and quantitative fields and prepare you to work in the ever-changing global business arena. Plus, with the ConsultEX program and our partner, EduConnect, students can gain valuable experience toward their careers.
• California School of Education (CSOE): Offers several education degree programs and CTC-approved teaching credential programs, along with Arizona Teaching Certification programs that are approved by the Arizona State Board of Education. 
• California School of Forensic Studies (CSFS): CSFS Dean, Diana Concannon, is an accomplished leader in the field of forensic science. CSFS programs deliver the most advanced, current evidence-based training. Graduates help create a safer world through careers in criminal investigation, by shaping public policy that can make systems more just, and preventing and mitigating violence through understanding the psychology behind the criminal mind. 
• School of Nursing and Health Sciences (SNHS): The newest Alliant school is located in Phoenix, Arizona, offering bachelor’s and master’s degree programs in nursing. The master of occupational therapy program is located at the San Diego campus.
