Alliant Professor Emeritus Appointed to the California Board of Psychology by Governor Brown

SAN DIEGO, Calif. – Aug 21, 2012 – John Preston, 62, of Shingle Springs, has been appointed to the California Board of Psychology. Preston has been a professor at Alliant International University since 1999 and a professor emeritus since 2010. He has been a psychologist in private practice and free-lance teacher and writer since 1988. Preston worked in multiple positions at the Kaiser Permanente Medical Group from 1981 to 1988, including chief psychologist and psychologist. He earned a doctorate degree in psychology from Baylor University. This position does not require Senate confirmation and the compensation is $100 per diem. Preston is a Democrat.
