This masters program offers a balance between theory and practice through a combination of TESOL methodology, linguistics, and education courses. It is designed for both prospective and experienced English as a Second Language (ESL) and English as a Foreign Language (EFL) educators. Students may earn the TESOL Graduate Certificate after taking five master's courses.

Students who wish to continue on to earn a doctoral degree will discover that HSOE's EdD in TESOL program is among the very few doctoral programs offered in the Western US.
