Forensic Certifications Program Overview

The School of Forensic Studies (SFS) at Alliant University is dedicated to providing law enforcement, private security professionals, other first responders, social workers and mental and allied health professionals with practical forensic behavioral education and training with the knowledge and skills needed for these professions. Completing a forensic science program can open up many opportunities in forensic investigation, criminal investigation (CSI) digital forensics, fingerprint analysis, laboratory methods, and investigative methodology. Studying digital forensics and mastering crime scene investigation is a specialized training where you analyze physical evidence and navigate the complexities of the crime scene. Whether you’re in law enforcement or in legal studies, an online graduate certificate in forensic studies designed for professionals offers flexibility for working professionals.

The SFS’s Advanced Practice Certificates cover diverse subject areas, while sharing a single objective: to train and support our participants to effectively prevent and mitigate conflict and violence.

SFS is a corporate partner of the International Law Enforcement Educators and Trainers Association (ILEETA). Many of the Advanced Practice Certificates are also eligible for Continuing Education credit through the American Psychological Association (APA).

All our forensic science programs and certificates are offered online by our faculty experts who practice in the respective fields such as forensic psychology, forensic chemistry, forensic criminology, criminal justice technology and many others, and who bring their forensic study experience into the virtual classroom to transform theory into practice.
