Alliant's Rockway Institute for LGBT Psychology study gay male partners who became fathers via surrogacy

San Diego, CA: Researchers at Alliant's Rockway Institute for LGBT Psychology conducted the first study ever to examine the experiences of gay male partners who became fathers via surrogacy. The research showed that these dads are more likely than heterosexual fathers to scale back their careers in order to care for their children. Also, their self-esteem and closeness with their extended families increased after becoming parents.
