TESOL/TEFL program development, teacher preparation, curriculum design, and international/multicultural studies. Dr. Baker integrates current TESOL/TEFL teaching strategies within program and curriculum development, teaching training, and multicultural understanding within the U.S. and among other countries. Well-designed online course development is a high priority with careful attention to the dynamic learning needs of students nationally and abroad.

August and September 2005 Served as a Fulbright Senior Specialist and continued the training of Indonesian junior faculty, professors at the State Islamic University and teachers K-10 school regarding interactive teaching methods, techniques and TEFL materials design.

June 2003 Governor of Ambon and the US State Department invitation to Ambon. Presented workshops on interactive, student centered, TEFL methods, teaching techniques and materials design, how to understand differences in learning and teaching styles, and how to develop innovative, culturally appropriate listening and speaking classes. The workshops were for the first Muslim and Christian joint faculty of the Alternative University.
